About Kolabo
The goal of the Kolabo Foundation is to initiate research and discourse regarding new possibilities of communication technologies and innovative applications that contribute to sustaining human values.
Kolabo creates the conditions for a special blend of disciplines to experiment from their diversity of insights. By curating three different Lab environments, we involve higher education, large and small businesses and experts in the fields of technology, social sciences, media and communication.
The Summer Lab offers collaboration of young talent from various studies with professional thinkers and do-ers in just as diverse fields of expertise as the graduates are from.
Pro Labs offers collaborations of companies and institutes with talent, often in collaboration with partners that facilitate entrepreneurs in their efforts to keep up with new technologies.
Edu Labs are the long-term Labs that involve various institutes of higher education. As the themes and assignments for this educational process come straight out of Summer Lab and Pro Labs, they usually involve collaborators from these previous Labs.
Founders
Bruno Setola
Bruno Setola is Kolabo’s Head of Curious Transactions.
Bruno loves to work along borders, exchanging ideas and possible scenarios, while always remaining agile, improvising, adapting to new processes and exploiting the crossing of borders by developing cross-media strategies in communication.
Jasper Schelling
Jasper Schelling is Kolabo's Head of Quantitative Explanations.
In the domain of unstable media Jasper uses a diversity of tools and forms. From a need to make the world more insightful he moves from pencil to processing, from piano to grid system, to finally realize participatory processes using modular design strategies.
